Next major procurement already in the starting blocks
On December 3rd, 2024, the last LF 10 from the 11th Hesse state procurement was handed over to the acquiring municipality of Ober-Ramstadt. Independently of the state procurement, the town of Ober-Ramstadt ordered a further HLF 20 and a StLF 20-V for fighting vegetation fires.
This concludes the major order for 60 LF 10 vehicles in the years 2021 to 2024. In the last 12 years, ZIEGLER has already delivered 280 LF 10 on Mercedes-Benz or MAN chassis from 5 state procurements to various municipalities throughout Hesse.
ZIEGLER has already been awarded the next major contract by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, Security and Homeland Protection. The production of the vehicles for the 12th state procurement campaign will extend over the years 2024 to 2026 and will comprise a total of up to 50 LF 10 firefighting vehicles, which will be built on MAN TGM 13.250 4×4 BL CH or MAN TGM 13.290 BL CH chassis. The prototype vehicle for this series is currently in production and is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2025.
The vehicles have a standardized basic scope of delivery, with the body and operating concept implemented in the latest generations of ALPAS and Z-Control.
Special equipment, developed in accordance with the state of Hesse and available as part of series production, could be realized individually according to customer requirements. This ensures cost-efficient production that also takes into account specific requirements that have been additionally commissioned by the respective municipalities.
Hesse's firefighters also benefit from easy-to-use, reliable technology that facilitates both training and day-to-day operations.
