Working together for the health of firefighters

ZIEGLER donates 1,000 € to FeuerKrebs

Firefighters do extraordinary things every day – often under extreme conditions. This makes it all the more important to protect their health in the long term. This shared concern recently brought Albert Ziegler GmbH and the organization FeuerKrebs gUG together for an intensive exchange in Hamburg. Representatives from both sides discussed specific measures to further improve health protection in practice. ZIEGLER is supporting this with a donation of 1,000 €.

“FeuerKrebs makes a valuable contribution when it comes to education, prevention and support for occupational cancer among firefighters,” emphasizes Stefan Wertheimer, Group Director Technology at ZIEGLER. “With our donation, we would like to recognize and specifically support this important work.”

During the meeting, the ZIEGLER team learned all about the work of FeuerKrebs and at the same time presented their own solutions for hygiene and decontamination in firefighting vehicles. Possible improvements were discussed together – with the clear aim of protecting the emergency services even better from health risks in the future.
“The exchange was extremely valuable for both sides,” says Marcus Bätge, Managing Director and founder of FeuerKrebs. “We share the common goal of protecting emergency services in a holistic way - not only during operations, but also in everyday life and during exercises.”

Everyone involved agrees that the protection of the emergency services is comprehensive and not limited to the scene of the incident. It starts with the exercise, when handling the equipment, the vehicles and in the fire station. Albert Ziegler GmbH would like to thank FeuerKrebs for the invitation to Hamburg and for their commitment – and looks forward to further cooperation in the interests of the safety and health of our firefighting heroes.
